Rainbow Light Probiotics Review (Probiolicious)

As you already know from my last post, I have been busy looking for probiotic gummies that work.

Some of the others I tried recently were okay but I still wanted to find something better for both myself and my health clients.

This quest bought me to Rainbow Light Probiolicious Probiotic gummies, and I will share my experience with these gummies with you in this review.

What Is Rainbow Light?

Let's take a closer look at Rainbow Light gummies. Rainbow Light is a reputable brand that has made a name for itself in the field of vitamins, supplements, and probiotic products. It is worth mentioning that Rainbow Light is owned by The Clorox Company, a multinational corporation recognized for its cleaning, disinfectant, and bleach products.

With such a strong corporate backing, you can be confident that Rainbow Light is not just another probiotic scam. The brand's association with a company that holds a monopoly in its industry adds further credibility.

When it comes to pricing, most of Rainbow Light's supplements fall within the range of $22 to $30 per bottle. However, it's important to note that their women's products tend to be slightly more expensive, with Women's Multivitamin and Women's Probiotic gummies priced up to $60.

If you're looking to save some money, purchasing Rainbow Light Probiotics on platforms like Amazon can offer slightly cheaper options. On Amazon, you can find their products priced between $16 and $50 per bottle, providing a month's supply of probiotic goodness.

Rainbow Light offers customer support via their toll-free number or email. Unlike other probiotic manufacturers, Rainbow Light does not seem to offer money-back guarantees, although they offer refunds if a customer is unsatisfied with the Probiotic.

The company has also been a target of a class-action lawsuit of $1.75 million for their prenatal and postnatal multivitamins, which were wrongly marketed as “free of heavy metals” and made with ingredients “with the lowest detectable lead level.” Both the claims turned out to be false as these Probiotics had more than permissible levels of lead and other heavy metals, which made the company a litigation target.

Rainbow Light has accepted its fault and decided to compensate customers who purchased their prenatal and postnatal vitamins in California between July 28, 2015, and Oct. 3, 2019. Although this episode surely negatively affected their reputation, we must also remember that such lawsuits are quite common in the health, pharmaceutical, and nutrition industry.

Where to buy their Probiotics?

I bought their Probiotic Gummies on their website for $22.99, but one can also find their probiotic gummies at other retailers such as Target, Walgreens, Amazon and CVS for a slightly higher price.

Some of the benefits from ordering through the Probiolicious website is that you can get a 15% discount & free shipping when you sign up through their email list. You also are protected under their 60 day refund policy but bear in mind, this doesn't include shipping charges.

Ingredients & Strain

The probiotic gummies from Rainbow Light consist of a Prebiotic blend that includes Fructooligosaccharides, Xylitol, Inulin. Additionally, they contain the Bacillus Coagulans probiotic strain, which has been associated with potential benefits for individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Each gummy with a substantial count of 500,000 million CFUs also contains various other components such as sugars, protein, sodium, water, gelatin, citric acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid, natural flavors, vegetable oil, beeswax, and natural colors.

One of the notable characteristics of these probiotic gummies is that they are gluten-free and dairy-free. They also do not require refrigeration, which adds convenience to their storage and usage.

However, it's important to mention that unlike some other gummies available in the market, Rainbow Light probiotic gummies are not suitable for those following a vegan lifestyle.

Considering these ingredients and characteristics, individuals with specific dietary needs or preferences should take them into account when evaluating Rainbow Light probiotic gummies.

1 Star Review

In 2016 a consumer of these gummies called Miranda said she bought these for her son and since taking them his bowel movements weren't as easy to perform.

She claimed she found a study on Labdoor that claimed these gummies had "95%" less bacteria than claimed on the packaging but I couldn't find a source to back up this claim.

K. Garfield claimed that these gummies "did wonders" for her daughters anxiety and she bought these after reading a study about the gut & brain axis. She is a big believer in science.

Side Effects

It's important to be aware of potential side effects when considering probiotics with Bacillus Coagulans, as they may include gas, bloating, loose stools, and irregular bowel movements. Additionally, individuals should always check for any allergies to the other ingredients present in the probiotic gummies.

During my personal experience, I did experience some minor side effects in the initial few days of taking these gummies. However, I found that these side effects gradually improved over time, which was a relief.

However, it's worth noting that despite taking these probiotic gummies consistently for a month, I did not observe any noticeable improvements in my digestion.

Rainbowlight VS Other Gummies

Rainbowlight isn't the first probiotic gummy product to exist and there are many new products out there. Here is how Rainbowlight stacks up.

Olly Gummies - Both Olly and Rainbowlight utilize the probiotic strain Bacillus Coagulans in their gummies so results for me were similar with both. Olly can be purchased in stores like Walmart which makes it a better choice for some.

Belive - Bacillus Coagulans with a potency of 5 billion CFU per serving, while Rainbow Light's CFU count is 1 Bilion per 2 gummies. Belive's gummies have additional ingredients like natural sugars, pectin, and organic sunflower oil, while Rainbow Light's gummies include a Prebiotic blend. Belive has positive reviews, with users reporting improved digestive health, while Rainbow Light's reviews vary. Both brands offer vegan-friendly options, and Belive is more affordable.

Final Thoughts

I took 1 capsule a day in the morning before breakfast for a month but did not notice any significant change or improvement in my digestion.

These gummies also left a bad taste in my mouth each time I took them. The taste, smell, and texture are nothing as the company claims.

Considering my own experience, I would not be recommending these gummies to anyone, as they proved completely ineffective despite the high price tag.
