Naturelo Probiotic Review – 30 Day Results
As a past sufferer of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), I have tried and tested many different probiotics available on the market to help with my symptoms.
In this Naturelo Review, I will be detailing my experience with the popular probiotic supplement from Naturelo for my IBS
What Is Naturelo?
Naturelo is a US based company that operates mainly out of Seattle but also with . The company has been operating since 2013 and has become very popular and well regarded.
In 2010, there were acquired by Arcadia Consumer Healthcare which is a company that owns a bunch of other health brands. The fee was not disclosed but could have been in the millions.
Naturelo provides a range of supplement products for adults and kids, from multivitamins to probiotics to Omega-3.
Their products come in capsule, powder, and gummy form and priced reasonably, with most of their products coming in at less than $30 with frequent sales and special offers when you order from the official website.
Naturelo was founded on the principle that nutritional supplements should be as natural and free from synthetic ingredients as possible.
In addition to using natural ingredients, the company is proud of its associations with charitable donations to Vitamin Angels. This non-profit organization provides vitamins to mothers and young children at risk of malnutrition.
Naturelo’s Probiotic supplement is one of their most popular products. Usually, it retails for $29.95, but at the time of writing, the company offers the probiotic at a discounted price of just $22.95. (no affiliate link)
Ingredients and Strains
This is the list of ingredients in each capsule here:
Naturelo contains an impressive blend of clinically studied Lactobacillus, Bifidobacteria and Streptococcus thermophilus Bacteria.
Lactobacillus Acidophilus & Bifidobacterium Lactis, two strains in Naturelo were both studied together Irritable Bowel Syndrome in a 2020 randomized controlled trial that showed benefits for some IBS symptoms.
The capsules are made from vegetable cellulose (rather than gelatine, an animal product that many supplement capsules are made from) and non-GMO rice flour which is what makes it gluten free.
Not only are the capsules 100% suitable for vegans, but they are free of any GMOs, soy, gluten, dairy, sugar, yeast, corn, nuts, colorings, preservatives, or flavorings.
My 30 Day Experience
One of Naturelo's Probiotic supplements' main selling points is that it contains 50 Billion CFU (colony-forming units, or live bacteria), which is a very high number compared to most other probiotic products on the market.
Because they were strong, I started slowly at just one capsule every two days, taken with a glass of water. As I had been warned and tends to happen with probiotics in general, some symptoms got slightly more severe initially before getting better. After around three weeks, I began to notice a significant reduction in IBS symptoms.
Bloating and gas were less frequent and less severe than before, and bowel movements were regular and consistent, rather than alternating and unpredictable phases of diarrhea and constipation.
After I was confident that the initial side-effects had been replaced by relief from my symptoms, I started taking the recommended dose of one capsule every day. Positive results increased even further over the last week.
I have decided to order another month's supply, and hope that the relief level that I get from this probiotic continues.
Naturelo Probiotic Supplement Reviews
Naurel is currently rated at 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon from a combined total of over 3,600 customer reviews signalling that its a probiotic that get's results.
In 2018 an anonymous customer claimed Naturel provided “incredible results,” but they also warned to start slowly, to minimize the initial side effects.
The likelihood of increased diarrhea during the first couple of weeks was mentioned. However, almost all users agreed that the benefits soon outweigh the initial drawbacks.
EazyDuzit claimed in July of 2022 that both he and his with experienced strange skin irritation and itching after taking Naturelo. This isn't a common side effect from probiotic bacteria and I have never heard of a case like it. I do wonder if it was because of Naturelo or something else.
Side Effects
As I mentioned earlier, like most probiotics, some of the symptoms of my IBS got slightly worse for a couple of weeks before they got better - I experienced a slight increase in diarrhea and some minor bloating and gas.
However, after these had subsided, these symptoms reduced a lot, so in my opinion, it is certainly worth trying this probiotic if you are willing to get through slight discomfort during the first couple of weeks.
The fact that the probiotic is free from soy, gluten, dairy, eggs, fish, nuts, GMOs, and preservatives also eliminates the chance of side-effects associated with any of those ingredients and makes it ideal for vegans.
If you experience any side effects, discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional ASAP. I am not a medical professional.
How To Refund Naturelo
Naturel have two separate return pages on their website with contradicting information but this one is the correct one. It states that you have 30 days from the of purchase to get all of your money back minus the shipping costs.
They claim the item has to be either used or unused in good condition and that you have to send it back to get your funds back. To start the process you have to email [email protected].
Final Thoughts
Overall, I would certainly recommend this probiotic, not just for vegans but for anyone looking for a good quality probiotic supplement.
The CFU count is super potent and you get a solid mix of Lactobacillus bacteria. I would give Naturelo a 4.5 out of 5 star rating.
Mary Ruth's is another vegan probiotic that provided good results for me in my experiments and they have thousands of happy customers.
